Top 5 List #1 'How Novel'

For anyone who has read High Fidelity by Nick Hornby (or seen the great movie adaptation starring John Cusack and Jack Black), this blog title will come as no surprise. Top 5 lists are an essential part of the day for the protagonist Rob. Funnily enough, this book actually easily makes my top 5, it is essential reading for music fans and break-up specialists alike (they are usually one and the same). Everyone should have top 5 lists, they are so much easier than having to decide on one favourite and they also spark some great conversations. My last blog entry was a tough one to write because I was way too ambitious, top 10 cover versions? What was I thinking? It's clearly all about the top 5 readers and I'm sure Mr Hornby would fully agree. So I think quite appropriately for my first edition, here's my top five novels:

Birdsong - Sebastian Faulks

High Fidelity - Nick Hornby

The Wrong Boy - Willy Russell

American Psycho - Brett Easton Ellis

All Quiet On The Western Front - Erich Maria Remarque

If you haven't read any of these then I hope you enjoy them as much as I have. Let me know yours so I can read them......AAAAAALLLLLLLLL OF THEM.
